411 vs. Interceptor vs. AM V8 vs. Gordon Keeble

I have acquired a publication for the Heritage Trust, which contains a car comparison article. This interesting, but admittedly purely subjective, treatise compares a Bristol 411 with the Jensen Interceptor, the Aston Martin V8 and a Gordon Keeble.

I shall also include a small section of an article from a 1946 motoring publication which summarises the British High-Performance Cars for 1947. There is a description of the expected delights of both the Frazer – Nash Bristol and the sports Frazer – Nash. ( Not much text here but, since I paid the modest sum of £1.04 for the publication, I feel that it is a worthwhile addition to the Heritage Trust archive ).

I would like to share the articles with any forum member who may be interested. To receive the scanned items as one .pdf attachment and one Word document please email a request to me at bristol@davedale.co.uk / bristol at davedale dot co dot uk. On previous occasions I have had many requests to see items that I have scanned. Please be be patient and be prepared to wait for a reply as it is easier for me to do nothing until all requests have been received and then I can send out the scan to all, as one mass mailing.

Please don’t post your request to this forum. Many thanks.

Article from Germany

Members may be interested in a description of the evolution of the post-war Bristol car company from the viewpoint of a German writer, presumably a motoring journalist.
