The Lakeland Meander will take a slightly different format to the Dales and Lakes week in June 2015. Our aim is to give you suggested routes and allow you time to sightsee and visit the places that are of interest to you in the Lake District.
There will be some arranged events (included in the price) such as the technical afternoon on Sun 8th followed by a BBQ, afternoon tea at the Daffodil in Grasmere, a cheese and wine evening, treasure hunt and a farewell dinner on the Friday. Thursday 12th Sept will be a ‘free’ day, however, it is also the date for the Westmorland County Show which is a major event in the area, advance tickets can be obtained for those wishing to attend.
Accommodation will be in shared holiday cottages either at Hornsbarrow (where we live) or nearby. Breakfast will be provided for everyone each day at Hornsbarrow.
