1939 Frazer Nash - BMW 326

This is a unique car as it has a Bristol 85A engine, running gear and gearbox. It has been said this car is one of 3 prototypes for the Bristol 400.

The car is currently for sale on the BMW Historic Motor Club website but with its Bristol Heritage it may be of interest to BODA members.

CBT 600, chassis number 113302, was one of a batch of three 326s delivered to Isleworth, in June 1939, with the later-style single-blade bumpers and perforated wheels.

It wasn’t registered for the road until November 1941, at which point the then silver BMW saloon was seconded to the RAF.

You can find full details of the sale and the car on the BMW Historic website here. See also the Bonhams website for lots of images and a video.

See also the February 2022 Classic and Sports Car for an article written by Martin Buckley, here.

The car is currently located in the Odiham area of Hampshire.
