DESCRIPTION:The regular meeting at Caffeine and Machine has run well\, with a band of regulars and a great many friends who popped in. We have been meeting there for some years and after some reflection\, we thought it would be good to have a change of scene. I thought it would be nice to try a new venue to refresh the event.\nAs a result\, for 2026 we aim to hold the meeting at The Piston Club at The Stag Inn which sits on the A46 between Stratford and Alcester. Several members\, me included\, have visited and the feedback is good. There is a good bar\, hot drinks and a reasonable menu to choose from with ample parking to show off the cars. The aim for the coming year is to start our gatherings on 18 March\, meeting up after 12:30 and ending when we run out of steam. The dates planned for the rest of the year are 6th May\, 3rd June\, 8th July\, 5th August\, 2nd September and 4th November.

SUMMARY:The Moat\, Wrotham\, Kent
DESCRIPTION:Bristols will be a featured marque at this breakfast meeting of the Kent Classic and Sportscar Club at The Moat\, Wrotham\, Kent TN15 7RJ from 9-11 a.m. We will share the limelight with vintage cars on this occasion. These events are usually well attended\, especially in the summer months. \nAfterwards I propose a drive through Kent to the historic Cinque Port of Sandwich where we will park on the quay and have lunch in a local pub restaurant\, with an opportunity to look around the town. In the afternoon\, on the way back we have been kindly invited by a BOC member to view his extensive car collection which includes Bristols\, rare and interesting Peugeots\, Lancias and Rovers. This promises to be a treat for all car lovers and in a special setting. \nPlease let me know if you would like to attend so that I can have an idea of numbers for lunch and for the afternoon visit\, to iain.johncock@gmail.com .

SUMMARY:Bloomsbury Classic Car Show
DESCRIPTION:The Bloomsbury Classic Car Show is a boutique car show in the centre of London. It is a picturesque English garden party with classic cars\, live music\, catered food\, and a full bar. \nThe 2nd Bloomsbury Classic Car Show will be held on Sunday 19th July at Bedford Square. \nBedford Square is next to the British Museum in Bloomsbury. The square is owned and operated by the Bedford Estate. \nCurrent Sponsors\n• Bedford Estate\n• H&H Auctions\n• Autocar Repairs (Renowned Bristol specialist based in west Dulwich)\n• Car Club Storage/Waterloo Classic Car Club \nAttendance\nOur first show on 21st September 2025 attracted about 175 cars and about 500 people inside the garden. Outside the garden\, we had another 500 to 600 people stop by to look at the cars\non display. Of the 175 cars\, 35 were inside the garden. The rest were on the bonded gravel outside the garden. This year we will have about 50 cars inside the garden. \nInner Garden\nThe inner garden will contain the food\, tea/coffee\, the bar\, live music\, the loos\, tables and lawn chairs. The inner garden is for ticket holders only. There will not be any loos outside the garden. \nTheme\nThe theme for the inner garden display is\n• 60th anniversary of launch of the Jensen Interceptor\n• 50th anniversary of the launch of the Bristol Type 603\n• 1966 Motor Show.\n• It is the 60th anniversary of a number of cars introduced in 1966. In addition to these cars\, there will also be a collection of very special and unusual cars. \nCars in the inner circle are by invitation only and if concours and/or related to the above show themes. We currently have invited one 603 owner to display his car in the inner circle and would be absolutely delighted to be able to invite other Bristols owners to join the display. Preference will be given to 603 and later derivates\, but we wish to emphasise that all Bristols of any era are very welcome to participate in the show. \nCosts to attend\n• £10 per person for general public\n• £20 per exhibitor car. The £20 include entrance for 2 people. \n• Cars parked on the bonded gravel outside the garden will need a exhibitor ticket.\n• We want the show to be affordable. We think £10 per person is very reasonable. \nAttendees should be aware that the event is located within both the London ULEZ and Congestion charge zone and make provision accordingly. \nCatering\nCaring this year will be done by PÉCHÉ MIGNON LONDRES. They have been invited to have pastry stands at several other events we organise. They are amazing. DESCRIPTION:We now have the confirmed dates and pricing for the trip from Scenic who are running the tour on our behalf. It is essential we have a commercial partner due to issues around insurance and liabilities. I have set out the details below. At present we have 8 cars committed with another member just checking things. If anyone else is keen to come Scenic will need to know fairly soon so they can sort the hotel bookings.
