Have just heard from Michael Barton a few days ago that the next Butterfield Press book is going to be about Dudley Hobbs, Bristol Cars long serving Chief Designer. A very worthy topic as he was responsible for or had an input into nearly every car the company produced with the exception of the Fighter , his last design the 603 effectively keeping the company afloat for the next 30 years plus in its later forms.

The book is due out around April time about the same time as we hope to complete the rebuild of my garden shed/den so I will need no other excuse to sit down in a cosy chair in front of the new log burner to enjoy yet another chapter in the Bristol history.
