Southport Classic & Speed 2025 Provisional Dates and Other Motor Sports
September 13 - September 14
The Aintree Circuit Club have announced provisional dates of 13th and 14th September 2025 for an expanded two-day motor sprinting event. Readers will see that these dates clash with the dates for the Goodwood Revival meeting and it seems unlikely that the Duke of Richmond and Gordon will see the clear (!) errors in his timetabling. Further news is awaited.
There is a small group of BODA members who are interested in some form of competitive motor sport, be that sprinting, hill-climbs, track days and so on. If a suitable event might be found and a BODA group involved it might be arranged to award The Anthony Crook Memorial Trophy at that event. Considering the significance of Southport to Tony Crook and therefore the Bristol cars story it would be a shame though to have to break the link.
